Found this in our mailbox the other day. Normally I'm a first-place-or-nothing kind of over-achiever, but getting 5th place in some child's assessment of the neighborhood Christmas decorations feels like a big achievement to me. Seriously, there are some lights in this neighborhood that are so over-the-top, they require supplemental generators! Not to mention, we are the only ones I know of who install their own lights rather than hire a team of workers.
I'm basking in my 5th place glory, and sending out the kuddos to Nana and Auntie Emily who did most of the heavy lifting for me this year...

I love your lights and decorations. Some of the ones in Austin look so garish to me. I thought it was hilarious that Katie was disappointed that everyone didn't have a novel decorating style year after year!
