Today was Bevie's, Paige's and Graham's first car accident, courtesy of the driver behind us at I-10 and the Sam Houston Tollway. It was a minor minor event -- just some big scuff marks on my bumper. The little Toyota that plowed into us didn't fair as well. It's crumple zone crumpled. We are all fine, with a little soreness in our backs nothing more. Just the hassle of car repair lies infront of me. Yuck.
On a different note, overheard in the backseat today:
"Bye bye Paigie's house," chimed Paige as we left on our nightly ritual of going out to look at Christmas lights.
"Bye bye Mommy's house," I added.
"Bye bye Grahamie's house," Graham followed suit.
"Bye bye Daddy's house," Paige kept on.
"No no, Paigie, Daddy's house work, Paigie. You so silly." said Graham.
And on a lighter note, in the shower tonight:
"Oops, excuse me, Mommy tooted." (hey, who says my blog isn't full disclosure?)
"It's okay, Mommy." Paige said in a mocking-comforting tone.
"That's a Daddy noise, Mommy!" Graham notified me.

Yes, my first car accident in 16 years of life...I thought going that long was pretty darn good! And, I am happy it was a minor one....PLUS, I couldn't have been with a better person to handle it all then Steph.....or a better vehicle, for that matter!

Those quotes are soooo Paige and Graham. After being with them for a weeked(though, not long enough)....I've really gotten to know each of their sweet,indivitual personalities.

Glad you are all ok, it's such a hassle getting the car fixed though isn't it! Paigie and Graham's comments so make me laugh, they love all the christmas lights don't they at this age. Luke gets soooo excited when he sees them. Whenever anyone "toots" in our house (including Luke) he always, always blames it on the cats, he says "pooh cats, pooh cats" and holds his nose looking so serious.
Steph, I love catching up with you guys! Your mom and you seem so close, very cool! Your gorgeous as always and so are your kiddos! I'm so glad the accident was minor!

Ha ha ha...that's great that your kids don't associate you with a toot noise! But whatever happened to your swearing to me and Jenn that you NEVER toot unless you're on the toilet? :-)
Glad you guys are OK. I remember from drivers' ed, we are all in about 11 car accidents in our lifetime. Just think, all ya'll get to cross one of your list, and it was just a minor one!
Regarding Em Em's comment above, at least the shower is close to the toilet?
