You aren't kidding about the Avignonesi! Its also fun to say.
I visit epicurious.com anytime I need a specific recipe or an idea to tweak something I'm attempting (as in, wonder how long/at what temp I should cook this...). They have Gourmet and Bon Appetit archived for the past few years.
