So we are on week two of low grade fevers in this house, and poor Paige's shot up to104 again last night. Motrin only brought it down to 100, so we were off to the doc's again today for another shot. Lenora, the nurse, was very swift and we left today with a bleeding right thigh on Paige. She didn't want a bandaid, so I asked Lenora not to put it on. Paige bled through her pants, but I am fine with that. I can get blood out of fabric. If it saves me 5 minutes of screaming at this point, I am all for it.
Paige continues to want Mommy and only Mommy. I am at my wit's end. I am really a frazzled raw nerve. So Al came home today at 3 and sent me out. I bought a brownie and the NYT. I felt refreshed by 5, so I came home to help with the kids' dinner. I got Paige to eat cheese and a couple of strawberries out on the back porch. This was HUGE considering her appetite has been nonexistent this week. Then she threw a fit when Al tried to leave her in Emily's care while he fixed Graham's dinner. So she came with me into our master bath for playtime in the tub while I got ready to go out (also arranged by Al). Al and Emily C. bathed Graham, and we all three put them to bed.
I got to enjoy a fun dinner out with a friend, who works with Al and impresses us both. Afterward we were joined by her fiance. Time for rest now, that is, if Paige sleeps...
