The wee people were adorable for the 4th of July. Al and I were a little more cranky, something about being in a crowded scene does us both no favors, I think. The swarm of people in town seemed to say we-will-not-let-the-recession-take-away-our-4th-but-come-the-5th-get-out-of-my-way-to-the-ferry. All was well at the end of the day, as witnessed by the photos here, when the family trio sauntered around the Cliffside in all their fine patriotic duds. I put a pic or two of Evelyn on the lobby desk, enraptured by the resident Austalian Shepherd named Tricky. A faun tri-color, he does bring back memories of my Nico (a black tri-color) but not sadness just fond memories. That classic Aussie play-with-me forepaws down pose as well as the snorty-sniffle noise and the inquisitive eyebrows. Evelyn is certifiably DOG CRAZY. She also enjoyed being awake for the first time EVER for the fireworks display. See the pic with the lip prominently displayed as her response to the pyrotechnics end. To me, the sunset gave the Chinese gunpowder a run for it's money.

Nico was a great dog. Your title reminded me of our great dog, Terlingua. Love the pictures of the celebration, esp. the one of your three climbing up the posts!
Gorgeous photos as always Steph! My favorite is also the trio on the posts. Superb composition and just great capture!
Too many good pics to choose just one fave for me! But the whopper kiss Graham's giving you made me chuckle! (Did Paige take that one?)
Can't wait to see you all later this week!!!
Wow, you added more pics. Bonus for checking again today!
Well, you know how much I enjoy your blog! I am loving on it yet again today. My favs are the Graham smooch, you and the three kids all wet after the water fight, and the last one of Paige.

The book title in a few years..."The pure and untainted days of Steph's loves of her life"...Your photos, your kids themselves, your terrific vocab that captures moments in life are all outstnading and truly entertaining and I am still hooked on your blog!
My fave...Graham taking charge in kissing his Mommy!
With love and awe,
