We have crossed the continent on a bright clear day. The views of the Great Lakes, farmlands of Canada and giant puffball clouds over the Canadian Rockies were constant entertainment. Then we started our descent across the snow capped mountains and glacial lakes and found ourselves in the wine country of British Columbia. Paige and Graham were treated to a fantastic ride in Craig's new wheels, and Patricia's placid voice soothed Ev straight to sleep in the truck. As we entered the gate, the horses greeted us from the paddock, the orchard is full of fruit, the house is full of people and the lawn is beaming green. Stunning views through giant windows showcase the water here. Out on the chilly lake Graham exclaimed, "Mom, this is gorgeous. It feels like we are in the sky" It does! We can see little afternoon rains dotting the sky above the mountains and hills surrounding this lake and the sky is HUGE. The air is dry. The people are as open and warm as they are plentiful.
Al kept Ev and me up for hours, so we only managed to sleep for 4 hrs while he was relegated to the couch. Ooof. Well, so glad there is a workhorse of a cappucino machine here too. Great hosts!

Sounds lovely!
Lovely except for the snoring.
Sounds wonderful Steph! You were in my neck of the woods :) We were travelling across the province this past week. We didn't go to Kelowna, but traveled straight across the bottom of the province to Christina Lake. Ah, heaven! Glad that you had a great time.
