Spouseless in Seattle

I am so glad I bit off more than I could chew and took all three children to Seattle solo. Of course, my Uncle Buck and his wife Cathy helped me tremendously and we were able to not only enjoy Seattle but relax and feel at home. Nothing like family to make you feel at ease. I can't say enough about their hospitality and simple goodness -- Paige and Graham loved all the gardening and Ev was smitten with the apples. I'll have to beg for a few of Uncle Buck's jpegs of her sitting under the tree munching away. And maybe tomorrow I can download my other memory card and retrieve a couple more I took. In the meantime, I leave you with images of the awesome spread and good times in Bellevue. and Cathy's homemade raspberry ice cream (sans seeds)

Oooh, other memory card had these treasures:

The salmon looks very nice. Why was so much cooked?

It was slathered in butter and herbs from the garden, and the butter kept catching the planks on fire even though they'd been soaked. Buck was a quick draw with the squirt gun, though. The fish was delish, and Evelyn hijacked my fork -- every time I tried to lift it to my mouth it was rerouted to hers!

Naked baby! :-)
Great pictures. Makes me want to go visit, too.

It is hard not to eat well at the Brooks' house! Salmon! Apples! Potatoes! Oh my!

I remember Kelley walking around nudie like that in the back yard. And the touch-tank at the aquarium - so cool! Glad you guys went and had so much fun.
