Whirlwind Halloween

Generally, for a control-freak, I think I do a passable job managing in chaos. But this week ran me over! The most frazzling thing is I lost my list of thank-you cards-yet-to-write. That has me frantic. It's like losing jewelry. A sinking feeling. Ugh. And it's the record of things that Evelyn has received, too, so I really want it for keeps. I've looked everywhere 10 times, no luck. But I still have to function and keep this family afloat in the sea of Halloween (carving, sewing, decorating and more!) , preschool for two, teething for one and hives for someone gearing up for yet another board meeting. Yep, everyone threw something in the mix this week. RRRRRRR, well, here are some pics of the fun we've had. And it is worth putting aside my guilt for a few minutes to share these snapshots of adorable people.
Some footnotes: I'm including pics of P&G making "punjab lamb", halloweenie pics so you can see what each of them went as, and Ev in the adorable knit coat+hat from the Fluors. Hey, did you know a powerdrill can transform a pumpkin into your child's sketch of what they dream their jack-o-latern to be? And you can sport a 4 1/2 month old in a baby bjorn while weilding said powerdrill! Good heavens it was a job. Little corkscrews of pumpkin flesh were all over us. ;) Oh one more thing, there are tears in Paigie's eyes on Halloween night because she was accidentally kicked in the jaw inside the bouncy at our block party, and she bit into her tongue. Ouch. Poor bunny.

As always, great pics. Hectic week I'm sure, but you always seem to be doing such fun things! :)

Those jack o lanterns are awesome! Great costumes. Evie is adorable in her pink knit. Did she get a costume this year?

Ha ha! I laughed out loud at Evie as a Blackberry! Is that to encourage Dad to play with her? :-)

Graham and Paige look so grown up. You did a great job on the costumes.

Ah, I see it now. I guess I was just blinded by her uber-cute tongue!
