Ah, a quiet cool night, all the babes asleep, and my dear devoted blog followers finally get a piece of me. Something else is extra fine tonight too -- I had my molar fixed and have SPLURGED some of my energy on a dinner for just one...had to treat myself since I've gone many days chewing on my least favored side (you don't realize this until you are forced to eat everything with just your left molars, it aint so satisfying). Now I'm treating myself to whole mouthfuls of happiness..and I think many people who read my blog can understand the double delight there -- going to the trouble to make yourself dinner is really an effort (I'd rather just pick at the left overs from the kids' plates) Yep, the molar plus the busy husband have been a very successful weightloss program. However, tonight I ate half a candybar from the kids treat loot, thanks Aunt Kit for those full size candy bars! ;} And now I'm splurging on pasta with a creamy mushroom sauce and pieces of one of those Whole Foods Rotisserie Chickens thrown in. Yum.
Things I can't live without this time of year: cream, nutmeg, mushrooms. Also, little whole wheat pita pockets have made lunches fun around here. You can put anything in those little gems and it is met with eager delight. Today we stuffed ours with baba ganoush, ham and mache. mmmm.
Ev is asleep swaddled up in a blanket on the couch. She's hit a new plateau, as observed by Nana and Grandad. She doesn't stop squirming most of the day, strong busy legs are constantly standing on our arms and hoisting her up bum high if you lay her on her stomach. She rolls front to back and back to front, too. She weighs in at close to 16 lbs now, and tomorrow she'll be 5 months old. Wow. I saw a picture of a newborn today and my heart sank. That's all in the rearview mirror now.

Glad to hear your mouth is better. Does your farmers market have a mushroom stand? Ours does, but they weren't there last weekend (wah!).
Evie is getting big, but she is still so snuggly and portable.
Ooh, I would have loved to have joined you for dinner. Sounds delish!
Pictures of Evie warm my heart...she's so beautiful.
I'm glad to hear that you got your tooth fixed! That must've been annoying as all get out. And the dinner sounds awesome.
And Evie is beautiful. I adore that photo of her asleep.
Sounds devine! Glad that you are able to enjoy it.
