That'sa Speecy Spicey Meataballa!

Here is a photo montage of the best meatballs ever made. Grandad instructed, Nana kept it all moving in the right direction, and Paige and Graham revelled in the grandparental bliss. They had a bit of trouble rolling the balls in their hands, so it worked best when Nana put hers underneath and let a little hand roll on top. Priceless. Also priceless was the "special" meatball Miss Paige made. She blurted, "I made a POOPY one, look!" It was round, but with a tail. So funny we had to laugh. Grandad, the sport, cooked it up and Paige giggled as she scarfed it down.

Yes, Anna and Colin love Grandad's meatballs, and spaghetti and meatballs was my favorite meal as a kid. I remember being so proud when I learned to twirl the spaghetti around my fork!

The pictures are wonderful, especially the chef hats!

We had a great time with the meatball making, as you all can see.

One moment you forgot to mention, Steph, was when both kids were in the thick of mixing the meatball ingredients together - they said, "Hey, I can't see!" We all turned to look at them and their hats had slipped down over their eyes but they were still mixing!!! So funny :)
Love, Nana

When I make meatballs I usually add a drop of wine. Its a throwback to the Italian influence in NYC in the 60s.
I add Costco's special or Sam's plonk............But for the River Oaks meatballs we added a 1/2 glass of Pichon Longueville Lalande..........I have to admit, they were better tasting for the addition....then again, it may have been P&G's little digits that infused the meat with excellence.
