Oh! I'm so proud of Al. This weekend we went up to Jackson Hole, WY. While we were there the board of Anadarko Petroleum Corp convened and approved his appointment as the new CFO. See the press release here http://www.anadarko.com/news/news_release_detail.asp?id=740422
So we obviously have a LOT to celebrate. I asked him what he wanted for dinner, and he opted for Indian take-out. Boy, he's easy to please. We toasted a glass of wine and enjoyed reflecting on the weekend.
One neat thing was that Dick Cheney has a place in or around Jackson, so "Airforce II" was on the tarmac. The security crew was kind, and allowed us to stand nearby to take a few photos.

The only crime about the weekend was that I have never been to Yellowstone National Park. To be so closeby and not go see it broke my heart a little. But hopefully we will get a chance to return to the area -- preferrably with extended family -- and do all the fun outdoorsy stuff they have to offer.
Sidenote: There were a TON of bikers in town on their way to Sturgis (? truly ignorant here, I think it is in the Dakotas) for a big Harley event. I had a nice conversation with a 60-yr-old biker from Aspen who is a country song writer. It takes all kinds!

Give my Congratulations to Al! Way to go! I can't believe you guys got that close to Cheney's plane....neato. Love you all-Bevie-
Yeah, Sturgis is HUGE with Harley bikers. It's really weird that Harley bikers don't like sports-bikers...some won't even wave (which most all bikers will do when we pass each other).
Congrats to Al!!!
And Jackson Hole, WY sounds like a great place for a family vacation.
WOW, Congrats to Al. Sounds like another good reason to celebrate this weekend!
Congratulations to Al and your family! You must be so proud!!!
