Play hard, rest well

Tonight we snuggled up, read books (they read one from school and then I read McElligot's Pool), then I asked if they wanted to sleep together. I went back in and found them like this. Try as they might to listen to me and "Stop Growing!" they are all gangly and growing like weeds. Paige's back is snuggled up, and clearly she tuned out the two night owls before they fell asleep. Graham's leg is thrown over Ev's entire body, her chin rests on his chest, and they are fist to fist in a simpatico, stillframe moment. Moments full of love like these are why I say, given the chance, I would have a dozen children. Sigh.
