Blogbligation

It's been a week since my last blog. I haven't really picked up my camera much in the past week. I don't like letting my blog readers down, though, so here are some pics from the previous week when we enjoyed a late night lounging on our newly laid (lain?) sod and were up so late we spied the bats eating the 'squits' in the air at dusk.

Why am I so busy and not snapping pics? My time has been swallowed by shuttling children to and fro. Three carpool lines, one soccer team and several playdates. We also purchased a 30 gallon freshwater tank last weekend. Between my lawn, my children, my home renovations and my community service obligations I have left precious little time for this blog.

Today Evelyn locked herself in the car! I didn't panic, so therefore neither did she, and I was instantly surrounded by two amazing workmen in hardhats, one security off-duty policeman, and at least half a dozen moms brandishing such helpful implements as a glass-breaker and a lollypop. WIthin a matter of 15 short minutes, a towtruck driver jimmied open the door using an ingenious air bladder, stuck in a shim and popped the lock. Evelyn was completely unphased and I felt lucky to have experienced this whole ordeal in the shelter of the beautiful new parking garage surrounded by so many caring souls. Today was equally "weird" in that I went to Neimans and had my makeup "done" which I never do. I left with some great creams and some volumous plum eyeshadowed eyes that I smudged to a subdued version for soccer coaching tonight with Graham's team.

I'm tired. Goodnight bloggies, and thanks again for all the comments on the videos!

So Graham's taking soccer? Fun!
How crazy that Evie locked herself in the car! Glad it turned out fine, but that would definitely turn up my adrenalin.

Eeeek I'd have freaked out; I locked Luke in the car once when he was about 4, luckily I'd left the window open so he wasn't too bothered. Sending you positive thoughts re the huge amount of running around you are doing at the moment XXXX

We've had the kids locked in the car experience too. Yes, it isn't fun at all, to say the least. Glad you had so much help! Thanks for today. We all had an excellent time.- Allison

Wow! So glad to hear that you had a good resolution to the potentially scary ordeal! I am so impressed (but not surprised) that you were able to remain calm!
