Thanksgiving has come and gone. We loved the breakfast in bed (pics of that on my other memory card, so stay tuned), the gorgeous Denver weather (nippy, dry, sunny!) even if it didn't snow (cue the boo hoo hoos from P&G who'd heard the forecast and were sore about that false prediction)...and, of course, hanging with the C's and Grandma W. Ping pong, piano, ball in the yard, feeding ducks, setting the table and feasting together. Put that in the memory books.

Looks like a great time!
Cute pictures!
I just read your "About me" profile and see that it has changed. I'm curious why you did that.
May I bravely suggest that perhaps these things do bother you more than you would like to admit? May I also suggest that many, many mothers not only grow babies, lactate, nuture and educate---AND work outside the home---and do it just as well, if not better--than us SAHMS!
Further, may I also suggest that this time away from our children is not only essential for us--but good for them too?
I hope this post does not offend.
Beautiful pics, Steph! And pooey on the anonymous poster before me. The "mommy wars" need to stop -- everyone does it their own way, there is no right way, no wrong way, no wasting of degrees or any of the other junk. Just moms doing the best they can with what they have.
Is the red-head in the pic a relative? Looks like a fast-forward of Graham in his late teens...
Josie
love the super-power bit. Mine is farming with kids.
I agree. Mom's who work are just as loving, caring and wonderful as those that don't. We need to all support each other. We all do are best. Staying at home or working--neither is a better way.
I also think there is no need for 'mommy wars'. Hopefully each of us does the best we can for our families--no need to judge. What I felt best for my family was to be home full-time with my children when they were young. Once they started school, I worked part-time during school hours with summers off. I know this is not a viable option for most.
That said, I was also curious about the change in profile. Did someone say or do something to make you feel defensive?
yes someone did offend me, and it's funny, I was just about to change my profile today because I wasn't really loving the vitriol version of my profile, thinking it didn't really reflect the me as I truly am, but then I paused because I thought, hmmm, noone other than my good friend Nick even asked about it. So now that it has had its day in the sun, I think it will change. ho ho ho, and no worries glad people have opinions and express them.
Waht a cool Thanksgiving! I can't believe how big your baby is! Love your pix even though I haven't commented in a long time.

I do not know (never saw your prior profile - I found you through Kristi's blog)
I must commend you on what a gorgeous family you have. You seem to be a very hands on Mommy (which we do not have enough of in my opinion) So just keep doing what you are doing - its WORKING!
Happy Holidays to you and your gorgeous brood!
Wow! Those are some of the cutest pictures I've seen in awhile! =)
I'm glad you guys have a wonderful Thanksgiving.
Cousin Bevie
Wow, I almost didn't recognize Lauren. But our Evie takes the cake! Love that picture of her in the plaid dress. She looks so grown up!
