V Nones

V Nones was how the ancient Romans said March 3rd. March 3rd being five days before Nones. (In case this gets you thinking about a more famous Roman date, The Ides of March was just a fancy way of saying March 15th, and it wasn't a term that had any foreboding significance, even to Romans, until Shakespeare lifted the phrase "Beware the Ides of March" from Plutarch and used it in his memorable play) Just posting a few pics of us being goofy over the weekend. Best part for me was freestyle, interpretive dancing to George Gershwin's Rhapsody in Blue with Paige and Graham. That's 13 minutes of pure, calorie-burning FUN! Evelyn had the most fun sharing her new tricks with her Daddy -- "yeah Evie" where she claps with glee, and "So BIG" with her arms flung high in the air.

Nones has long been a significant day for me. I left Princes Dock on that day L years ago. I landed in NYC on pridie Idus Martius in 1958.

By the way, I was seasick the whole week.

Nice pictures.

Love love love the pictures with her daddy, and the funny face is too much! I think my third little peanut developed a sense of humor earlier than his big bros -- how can you not with twins making faces at you all the time?

Also love the grubby swimsuit pic -- though the thought of putting on a suit makes me shiver convulsively... :)
