Something to do on a Tuesday

Paige and Graham and I love to go to the farmers market. Of course, you can go on Saturdays, but that is usually a time we spend running around with our Daddy. So we often can be found at the Tuesday market. Two new vendors this week got high marks with us. One was the Houston Dairy Maids, who gave great info and samples of all their selections before artfully wrapping up our treats in good cheese paper with adorable labels. (Who knew? They have their own blog) The next was a gelato vendor (scroll down that link to see his photo). He was the real deal, with his authentic Italian (okay, Argentine) looks and accent, he deftly doled out sweet paddlefuls of soft gelato to my kids -- even inventing on the spot a toddler portion that was a mere $1 and didn't spoil their dinner appetite (then again, how can you spoil a cheese plate and wine/water "dinner" right Colin?). Then there are the usual suspects, with collard greens, arugula, mizuna, and seasonal veggies. It is, as they say, "Thousands of miles fresher". Oh we also love Monica Pope's sage crackers and frozen dough from Plum Pantry.

What a yummy post! That fantastic cheese tray has something on it for everyone. Even Anna could eat the blueberries.

Look how careful Paige is with that knife. Whew-whie. I'd be ducking behind a solid barricade if any other three and a half year old was in sole possession of a cutting instrument!!!!!!!!

That food looks divine! I can almost taste the yumminess through my computer screen. I bet it was better in person.

XOXOXOXOXO!
