Grandad is stuck with us

Grandad could not go home today because there was a security snafu at the airport. So we got extra time. He and I spent a nice hour at the club tonight having drinks and great conversation at the bar. Ahhhh...thanks to Babysitter Emily, we came home to jammied up, sweet kids watching Tom & Jerry. They loved on Patchie, who has not had a great day because she ingested something that didn't agree with her. We made sure she finished on a high note.

The most adorable video from today, I'm afraid I cannot publish here. It's just that it is probably not a good idea to have a nudie dancing video of my adorable Paige out there for public consumption. So just let me describe it for those who cannot come see it on my computer. Paige is finishing up her hamburger, and Grandad is magically strumming on a child-sized guitar the tune "Raindrops Falling on my Head" Paige moves so sweetly and very well, with a variety of dance steps including twirls, hip wiggles, arm sweeps, staccato feet, etc. Grandad does a very nice job with the music.

Here are some add'l photos you might enjoy. Paige took the one of Grandad, Patch and Graham. I snapped Paige doing a great impression of Grandad playing the guitar. Notice Graham in the background. She walloped him in the eye with the end of the guitar. And Graham REALLY wanted Patch to sit on his lap while he sat on mine. So Paige took a picture of that.

What remarkable kiddos!! Graham has a lovely smile sitting in Grandad's lap and Paige's mimicing of Grandad on the guitar is priceless, including the concentration on her face. Not to mention her photographic skills!!! What fun for Grandad and Patch to spend a few days in Houston. (Just a little jealous but I got to visit and love on the Martin grandkids)
Love, Nana

Poor Patchie got sick the last two days we were there. Steph had a little Patch accident to clean up as we were leaving the house for ELP.
She was not well on the plane ride and , unlike her, was struggling to get out of her carrier. I knew why once we were home......pooh did that thing stink!
Steph, as always was a great host and the kids are knockouts and fun to be with. While thay were the main attraction, I must mention that I was treated to a bottle of Pichon Longueville Comtesse Lalande ..........how good is that?
Getting a bit wordy here so I'll end with the fact that we had coicktails and hors d'ouevres at 'The Club'
River Oaks that is!
