Thanks to our friends, we enjoyed a surprisingly breezy, pleasant evening outdoors with Paige and Graham at the zoo last night.
The trio of almost 6 yr-olds had to break in the dance floor, even before the boogie disco lights could be seen, they spied the ball
This is Liberty, a bald eagle found injured and bones already fused so she is flightless and now works as an educator. She loves shrimp. She does not love her tethers. Her talons were so massive. This young woman was working HARD. The grackles gathered overhead to irritate the bird of prey away. Alas, she wasn't going anywhere. I watched her for a long time.

Love the dancing shot. Paige is looking so tall!
The eagle is beautiful. Glad she is being taken care of since she can no longer fly.
