May performances

There's a whole lot of Evelyn in this post because she's been quite the ham lately! The first image shows how fervently she performs all the praise+worship songs at her school. Here she's telling the audience the lyrics like she's really communicating the message: "It's about YOU, it's about ME, it's about the Truth that sets us free, it's about everlasting never-failing Love!" And I snapped one of her with her teachers at the Mother's Day celebration. Miss Lindsay and Miss Allie are great.

Most of these are from her big first piano recital, which was more pomp than performance, but ya can't blame a girl for exhuberance. She found do (as in re mi) right away, sitting pretty at the keyboard and she's keen for more piano. That 's about all I expect right now. She really loved the brownie bite from her teacher afterwards as well as some milk and apple pie in town with Mom later on.

We also enjoyed some "Oceans of Fun" performances by the 1st graders as they launched Ocean Week at school. Evelyn soaked up her brother's attention and hammed it up with him on the art the children created out of beach trash.

And these images are from the glorious, gorgeous and spectacular wedding of Lacey and Matt. The trio did so well, and there was one moment of levity when Graham had his eyes locked on the groom as he was walking up with the rings, and did a cartoonish foot-flying slip-up on the bride's veil, but somehow managed to catch himself and NOT take her down. The whole congregation chuckled and it was brilliant. Phew!

She is a ham! She really puts her all into everything she does. I admire that.
