NYC with P&G

A picture from home accidentally downloaded in here, but I left it for seasonal contrast between Houston and Manhattan!

NYC was a whirlwind, as it always is, and we pared down our activities to essentially what the five-and-a-half year old crowd would enjoy. We traveled with Henry and Annelise and their parents. The first day consisted of some shopping in a snowstorm -- exhillerating! Then we went to eat at a Ninja-themed sushi restaurant. Saturday morning, after fortifying ourselves with a breakfast-in-bed shmorgazborg, we hit Central Park in all it's snowy wonder for some snowball fights, a makeshift ice/snow slide, snow angels and a feable attempt at a snowman before crying uncle to the bitter bone-chilling cold. Fresh warm clothes and we were off to Soho for shopping. We grabbed -- literally in the crowds -- a bite to eat at Dean and Deluca that we ate in the car on our way down to the theatre. Shrek the Musical was fun and totally entertaining (I could have done with fewer flatulence jokes) for the whole crowd. We left the theatre and headed to Rockafeller Center for a little, er, big tree viewing. It was windy and so cold, we didn't last long, but we met up with my cousin Robert who was on his way home from West Point. To defrost we had cocktails at The Oak Room (okay, a brief but necessary diversion from the focus on preschooler fun), and then ate a long, lovely meal at Circo.

POOF! That was it. We headed back home, leaving in a slushy rain. All of us were eager to see our sweet BoodleBeaner, who'd had a ball of her own at home with the Gparents.
